Trailer: Moms' Night Out
The movie starts of to be about an inspiring mom trying to be a 'mommy blogger', but with her efforts, only has a 3 followers (everyone has to start somewhere though.) But don't be fooled by the beginning. This movie unfolds to be hilarious, somewhat truly based on some moms realities, constantly filled with surprises and just down right enjoyable. Okay, so maybe they do over exaggerate the true life part of the movie but then again I wouldn't know as I am not a mom.
So what is this movie about in just a few words. (The way I saw it):
Moms' Night Out is about 3 moms, Allyson played by Sarah Drew, who is a mom with 3 kids, struggling to handle and be happy with the role she has in life. Izzy played by Logan White, who is Allyson's best friend and finds out something huge on the night they all go out (I don't want to give a spoiler alert.) Sondra played by Patricia Heaton, who is the Pastor's wife and a goody two shoes about it, but in the end revealed to have been a rebel. All of these mom's are experiencing some kind of difficulties in their life, not being able to handle their kids is the main point. On their night out they run into many problems, but one steals the show. Allyson's sister in-law played by Abbie Cobb has a baby, who happens to go missing when her ex-boyfriend also father of the child played by Harry Shum Jr. leaves the baby with his ex girlfriend to go out. The movie then unfolds into this huge mission to find the baby. Along the way everyone learns their lesson and the ending is happy.
What I loved about the movie:
This movie is filled with humour, you are constantly laughing and smiling. It is also a faith based film, which I didn't know before watching.
My favourite reference in the movie:
" I am a mess. But I am a beautiful mess. I am His masterpiece and that is enough"
My favourite scene: (Between Bones and Allyson)
-"I was raised in church. This might surprise you, but I have since drifted from the faith.
-"Shocker."
-My mama worked three jobs. I never met my daddy.I had to get up early and walk to school, but I'd wait up for her coming home from the diner. I'd wait up every night. 'Cause she'd come home and she'd put me to bed and she'd tell me something. She'd tell me the same thing every night. "He loves you, Charles. "No matter who you are, no matter what you do, or how far you run, "Jesus will always be loving you with his arms open wide, "just for being you." And I'd smile and go off to sleep. You know, I saw something on Pinterest the other day. It was an eagle. Just caring for its young. It's a beautiful thing to watch one of God's creations just doing what He made it to do. Just being an eagle. And that's enough. You all spend so much time beating yourselves up. Must be exhausting. Let me tell you something, girl. I doubt the Good Lord made a mistake giving your kiddos the mama He did. So you just be you. He'll take care of the rest."
What I didn't like about the movie:
It's not the best movie you will watch in your life time. It isn't for a wide audience and it doesn't really have that one thing in it which makes me want to watch it over and over again. It also is not very realistic. Like I said before, I am not a mom so I wouldn't know. But I am an Au pair and a lot of how the children behaved was not realistic and definitely could of been different.
This is just my opinion on Moms' Night Out. Leave a comment below if you watched it and what you thought of movie.
Until the next one.
